My Story

I have always had a deep love for travel, for exploring healing and spirituality in different cultures and for getting connected to the land through traditional ceremony and ritual.

As a child I dreamed of being a teacher or a social worker. I dreamed of working abroad and serving underserved communities. I have always loved working with others in a helping capacity and this drove me through the many facets of my career thus far, ultimately leading me to naturopathic medicine.

For close to a decade prior to becoming an ND, and after completing a B.Sc. in Biochemistry, I worked in special education and mental health services; in Canada and the US with children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other special needs; in alternative high school programs with at-risk youth; with various schools and the childrens' families to assist with individualized supportive care planning. I volunteered abroad as a teacher in South India for populations born into bonded labour, and more recently assessing nutritional status and treatment needs. During Naturopathic Medical school I was a student clinician for 2 years at Friends for Life treating patients with various chronic conditions such as Hepatitis, ME, Cancer and HIV. I was also part of a small group who volunteered in a birth house in Haiti, helping to treat and educate expectant mothers, to treat newborns and to assist with births. All of this has shaped and guided who I am as a physician.

I received my designation of Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in British Columbia in 2013.

I practice remotely with patients in BC and Quebec, with limited in-person visits in my Vancouver location several times per year, with a strong focus on chronic disease, pediatric special needs (Autism, ADD/ADHD, etc.) and neurodevelopmental disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, womens' health, hormone balancing, pre-conception care, gut and brain health, autoimmune conditions, allergies and mental emotional spiritual health.

I am deeply committed to helping my patients move towards a state of whole health. Daily I witness great shifts that can come from simple insight and basic treatments. This is why I love my work.

The body, the mind and the spirit hold great power in health. This union, along with infusing joy, authenticity and care, using the principles of naturopathic medicine, are the goals and intentions that guide my practice.
